The warrior troop crossed the Beirut River and into a field of wheat. Gazing across a vast desert, they saw towering before them a monolith of red sandstone which seemingly hovered above the shimmering desert sand and reached into the heavens.

So moved were the warriors by the majesty of universe and what lie within the stars that the Phoenicians committed their efforts of inquiry towards Astrology and the machinations of the gods.
